Not a ‘pure military response’: Defence Strategic Review

Australian Strategic Policy Institute Director Bec Shrimpton says one of the best things about the Defence Strategic Review is it isn’t a “pure military response”. “It understands that there are serious threats to our security that are coming up almost invisibly, through our system, through our politics, through our society and especially … that economic lever, that ability to pull that lever and put a lot of Australian industry and a lot of Australian companies in a lot of pain,” Ms Shrimpton told Sky News Australia. “This is a really comprehensive, multifaceted and a complex threat.”
