Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has struck a plea deal with the United States. Under the agreement, Assange will plead guilty to violating the US Espionage Act. In exchange, he will be sentenced to five years, which he has already fully served behind bars. Assange will be free to return to his home country of Australia after being a wanted man in the United States since 2010, when he published stolen classified military and diplomatic documents on WikiLeaks.
