NATO has accused China of challenging the bloc's interests and security, and opposing military alliance’s expansion into the Asia-Pacific region. In a strongly worded statement, NATO said the China challenged its interests, security and values with its "ambitions and coercive policies.” The statement by NATO heads of state said China “employs a broad range of political, economic, and military tools to project power.” In its response, China urged NATO to stop its groundless accusations and provocative remarks against the country, the Chinese foreign ministry said at a regular press briefing on July 12. Spokesperson Wang Wenbin made the remarks when addressing a question on a joint statement by NATO that was highly critical of China, including that the country challenges the bloc's interests and security. #nato #natosummit #china #jensstoltenberg #xijinping #japan #kishida #taiwan n18oc_world n18oc_crux 0:00 INTRODUCTION 2:17 CHINA HITS BACK AT NATO CRITICISM 3:32 TAIWAN LOOMS LARGE AT NATO SUMMIT CRUX is your daily video news guide to the big events that are shaping our world.
