Body-cam footage of the moment police shot a man after mistaking a marker pen for a knife in Denver

Brandon Cole, 36, was shot by officers, who mistook a marker pen he was holding for a knife on August 5. Body-camera footage of the incident has subsequently been released by Denver police. The tragic incident came after a neighbour had called 911 to report potential domestic violence involving Cole, his wife and his teenage son. The caller reported that the woman may have been pushed out of her wheelchair and that Cole was 'going after' his son, Cmdr. Matt Clark said.
