In this segment of CUNY Laureates, we learn about Nobel Laureate Arno Penzias and the accidental discovery of Cosmic Background Radiation (CBR) in 1965. This groundbreaking achievement served as the strongest evidence of The Big Bang and is widely considered to be one of the greatest scientific breakthroughs of the 20th Century. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1978.
