Ukraine said its troops have trapped Russian troops “in a trap“ in the eastern city of Bakhmut. Czech President says Ukraine has a "window of opportunity this year” to win back as much territory as possible from Russia before allies are beset by "war fatigue". A coalition of 11 nations will start training Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets in Romania in August 2023. NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance will invite Ukraine to become a member “when allies agree and certain conditions are met”. Stoltenberg announced that NATO will remove the requirement for a membership action plan for Ukraine.
