Prince William resumes royal duties

Prince William has resumed minor royal duties after the funeral of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Speaking to the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit via a pre-recorded message, the new Prince of Wales said the “saddest of circumstances means I cannot join you in person today”. The summit is designed to mitigate the effects of climate change over the next decade. “Protecting the environment was, of course, close to my grandmother’s heart, and I know she would have been delighted to hear about this event,” Prince William said.
