It was produced by the National Association of Manufacturers, and won the Peabody Award. The show depicts complicated industrial processes that transform raw materials into finished products available for consumption by Americans. This particular installment of the series is a black-and-white film that highlights the manufacturing processes of Trion Inc. Electronic Air Filters, Rogers Plastic Company, Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Company, and Jubilee Manufacturing Company’s most popular products. Women factory workers of various ages pack plastic coasters for shipment, boxes ready for shipment get sent along conveyer belt (6:18). Woman looks over display shelves of completed Rogers Plastic Company products and housewares (6:49). “The Super Cementers!” employee of Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Company of Duncan, Oklahoma conducts experiment in lab; scenes of other employees testing new equipment/ pouring cement into molds (7:00). Team of oil well drillers prepare for dispatch to new well site, Halliburton Well Site trucks drive off on dirt road (7:47). Crew arrives at oil well drilling rig structure, Halliburton well cementing technique put into action: crew applies, tighten Halliburton Jet Mixer, guide shoe and plug system, pump plunger among other tools for inserting cement casing into oil well (8:13).
