Access to the expensive weight loss drugs Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro is the focal point of a new class action lawsuit in Washington State. The lawsuit alleges that the state agency responsible for purchasing health insurance for public employees discriminates against individuals with obesity by not including weight loss drugs in their coverage. Obesity is considered a protected disability under Washington State law, though that's not the case in all states.
