Ingredient found in Diet Coke potentially cancerous

One of the world's most common artificial sweeteners used in products such as Diet Coke is set to be declared as potentially cancerous. The artificial sweetener known as aspartame will be listed next month as possibly carcinogenic to humans, for the first time. According to the World Health Organisation's cancer research agency, the move is likely to start a row between industry and regulators.
