Black Summer gave a ‘glimpse of the future’ for Australia

ANU Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions Director Mark Howden says it’s likely Australia’s temperature will increase and “exceed 1.5 degrees in the next five years”. “I think the really important message here is that we‘ve already got a glimpse of the future through what happened during the Black Summer here in Australia,” Mr Howden told Sky News Australia. “What we experienced in Australia was not isolated, there were similar experiences in other parts of the world.”
