‘Sigh of relief’: LNP’s Fadden victory a ‘pat on the back’ they really needed

The Liberal Party will be “breathing a sigh of relief” they secured a positive result in the Fadden By-Election, according to The Australian’s media writer Sophie Elsworth. “They were never going to lose the seat, any suggestion they were going to is just ridiculous,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Paul Murray. “But I think it’s a little bit of a pat on the back that they really needed and some assurances that Peter Dutton actually is doing a good job. “Now the next big test is what happens in this referendum.”
