The Detroit police are inching closer to solving the weekend murder of synagogue leader Samantha Woll — with the city’s police chief saying Monday that he’s “just short” of declaring one person a suspect. Police have not given out much information about Woll’s killing, except to say that they did not believe it was fueled by anti-Semitism or had anything to do with the burgeoning conflict between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas. They doubled down on that Monday, with Detroit Police Chief James White saying at a press conference that cops have already identified some people of interest and are “very confident about the track we’re on.” “We believe that this particular incident was not motivated by anti-Semitism, and that this suspect acted alone,” White said. “There are several factors that have led us to this conclusion. We are not in a position to discuss all of them at this point.” “We are just short of calling one of the people a suspect,” he continued. “But we are working toward that, and we will be there. But again, it just takes time … there’s a lot of information to be analyzed.” #detroit #samanthawoll #crime The New York Post is your source for breaking news, news about New York, sports, business, entertainment, opinion, real estate, culture, fashion, and more.
