Scientists in China simulated an attack on a US warship by launching a salvo of hypersonic anti-ship missiles. The simulation showed how the Chinese army might use space weapons to strike an American aircraft carrier group. A salvo of Chinese hypersonic anti-ship missiles was launched skyward from 1200 km away from the target. The simulation was based on America’s SPY-1D radar, primarily used by the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer to detect long-range anti-ship missiles.
