With cities like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver being consistently ranked as top vacation destinations, Canada should be on the top of everyone’s travel list this year. But why visit Canada? It’s filled with scenic landscapes and major metropolitan cities to explore, it’s close enough to travel to without having to go through customs or need passports, and it has plenty of things to do no matter what time of year you visit. 1) Vancouver
Vancouver is one of the cleanest, prettiest cities in the world. What I love most about Vancouver is that it’s a big city with a small town feel and people are so friendly. I could go on and on about how much I love this city but you should just come visit yourself! Here are some things to do when you're there:
Visit Stanley Park
Take an epic hike in Cypress Provincial Park or Grouse Mountain
Check out English Bay beach (with Kitsilano Beach) for incredible views of Vancouver’s skyline
Go shopping at Granville Island or Robson Street - famous shopping districts in downtown Vancouver

2) Jasper
Jasper is a town in the Canadian Rockies and one of the most popular destinations in Alberta. While it's often crowded with tourists, Jasper is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in North America. The Columbia Icefields are a must-see for any nature lover, with glaciers and creeks surrounded by rolling hills of lush forest. If you're looking for adventure, take a whitewater rafting trip down the Athabasca River or hike on one of many trails through the mountains.

3) Banff
Banff has some of the most beautiful scenery in Canada, and is a popular destination for outdoorsy types. There's tons of hiking, camping, biking and other outdoor activities to do in Banff National Park, which is just outside the city. The best way to get around the park is by bike or on foot (or horseback if you're feeling adventurous). If you're looking for a more relaxing way to spend your time in Banff, why not try some hot springs?

4) Toronto
Toronto is a major cosmopolitan city in the province of Ontario. It's the most populous city in Canada, and one of the most diverse in North America. The city has a reputation for being one of the most gay-friendly cities in the world, and is ranked as the safest large metropolitan area in North America.
That's not all though! Toronto also boasts an impressive skyline that features some of North America's tallest buildings. The CN Tower, the fourth tallest free-standing structure on earth, dominates the landscape from nearly every vantage point. With so much to see and do in this vibrant city, it might be worth considering staying for more than just a few days - you'll be spoiled for choice between visiting amusement parks like Canada's Wonderland or Royal Agricultural Winter Fair or checking out attractions such as Casa Loma or Fort York National Historic Site.

5) Quebec City
Quebec City is a popular destination for those looking for culture, history and adventure. Quebec City's Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site with cobblestone streets and historic buildings that date back as far as 1608. The Chateau Frontenac stands at the edge of the cliff overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Built in 1892, it was once the most expensive hotel in North America. It offers one of the best views in all of Canada.

6) Prince Edward Island
The province of Prince Edward Island is known for its beaches, lighthouses, and lobster. If you're looking for an island getaway with activities, PEI has plenty of them. There are plenty of places to visit in PEI including the Cavendish Beach Resort and the Charlottetown Farmers Market. In addition, if you want to take a walk on a quiet beach or go kayaking out on the ocean there are plenty of options as well.
If your idea of fun includes diving into water sports then we've got some spots that will interest you such as Sandy Cove Marine Park (a marine park) or take a boat out to some local islands.
Lastly, if golfing is your thing then there's always Oak Hills Golf Course where scenic views await at every hole.

7) Newfoundland and Labrador
Newfoundland and Labrador is the easternmost province in Canada, stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. The dramatic coastline of Newfoundland and Labrador is dotted with quaint fishing villages, pristine beaches, whales, icebergs and birds. One of the most picturesque towns in Newfoundland and Labrador is St. John's - nicknamed The City That Never Sleeps. The capital is also home to Fort Amherst, Signal Hill National Historic Site, Cabot Tower and a number of other attractions.
