The result? An unlikely blend of grunge, metal, sludge and – whisper it – pop; a raw, uncompromising yet melodic sound that channels the best heavy music of the last 30 years while remaining utterly their own. News of the Chapel Floods Demo spread quickly through the underground, and as the world opened up the band found themselves sharing stages with the likes of Tuskar, Soden, King Witch and many more. After a number of false starts and member changes, the power trio of Bing (guitar, vox), Shawn (bass, vox) and Luke (drums) united by a love of 90s metal, find themselves with an abundance of killer material and duly set to work recording an EP at their own rehearsalspace-cum-recording-studio: The Womb. With comparisons to Alice in Chains, Elephant Tree and Bleach-era Nirvana, Chapel Floods are a band that unites heads of all allegiances.
