The video was recorded on June 18, during a fundraising event called The Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis, in which participants paddle 75 miles on paddleboards from the Bahamas to Palm Beach County, Florida. Malea Tribble was approx halfway through the journey when the shark swam up behind her, circled her, and even swam under her board. Luckily, she, as well as another nearby paddleboarder, were able to seek refuge on a nearby crew boat.
