This huge fire was caused by a vehicle collision in the centre of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s capital. A truck carrying 60 tons of liquefied natural gas crashed and exploded, causing a fireball which set a nearby 12-storey building ablaze. Six people were killed, including three firefighters, while at least 11 more were injured. Hundreds of firefighters worked into the early hours of the morning to extinguish the flames. Locals are left questioning why a truck carrying such a dangerous load was allowed into a residential neighbourhood.
