Serial killer and rapist Paul Bernardo moved to medium-security prison

Convicted teen killer and serial rapist Paul Bernardo was quietly moved to a medium-security prison in Quebec on Monday, the lawyer for his victims’ families said. Bernado is serving a life sentence for kidnapping, torturing and killing Kristen French, 15, and Leslie Mahaffy, 14, in St. Catherine’s, Ont., in the early 1990s. He was reportedly moved from the maximum-security Millhaven Institution, about 20 kilometres west of Kingston, Ont., to La Macaza in Quebec Ryan Peddigrew reports on Bernardo’s move from Millhaven and the response from his victims’ families.
