Economists warn Australian economy could fall into damaging recession

Some economists are warning the Australian economy could fall into a damaging recession following 12 interest rate hikes. KPMG Economist Brendan Rynne said, “Most people out there are going to feel that the economy is very weak and so whether it’s in a technical recession or whether you’ve got flat growth … doesn’t particularly matter, what’s going to matter is how it feels to the average punter out there and it is going to feel weak.”
