This week's top stories of the week include: 0:15 The EU just agreed a landmark deal on AI regulation – It’s set to become the first world power to enact a law of this kind. The new law will govern uses of AI such as in government surveillance and in publicly available models such as ChatGPT. The deal will be finalized in the coming days. It’s expected to come into force early in 2024. 1:36 5 ways to cut food waste – One-third of the food produced globally is lost or thrown away every year, while more than 800 million people go hungry.
