I am was really honoured today to have been appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in the Queen's Birthday List," Ms Credlin said. Ms Credlin also spoke with Sky News host Alan Jones who said her receivership of this award has made Australia "understand" her as they never did. "What pleased me about the award today is that Australia now understand this person as they never did," he said. "So Peta, out there I can hear a lot of people cheering but my god, you've worked very hard and you've taken a lot of rubbish to get to this point – but the road has turned and that pleases all."
