Mourners asked to leave unwrapped flowers for the Queen

Mourners in the United Kingdom are being asked to only leave unwrapped flowers, as officials try to deal with an outpouring of tributes for the Queen. People have been asked to lay flowers at dedicated sites in London’s Green Park or Hyde Park rather than the gates of Buckingham Palace. Royal Parks, which manages the two parks, is kindly asking well-wishers not to leave teddy bears, plastic and lit candles in the interests of sustainability.
