Blood-red cannibalistic crickets invade rural town in Nevada

Blood-red crickets have descended on swathes of rural Nevada, including an area that borders Utah and Idaho. Nevada officials have warned that the piling up of Mormon crickets can result in slippery roads. With the insects also blanketing parking lots and other areas, some businesses are using leaf blowers and shovels to clear them out.
