NRL and ARL Commission urged to 'come to the table' to negotiate a fair deal amid pay dispute

Rugby League Players’ Association CEO Clint Newton has urged the NRL and the ARL Commission to “come to the table” and provide the players with a fair deal. This comes after it was announced that from Thursday, July 6, NRL players will be boycotting all broadcast and media engagements on days when the NRL, NRLW, and State of Origin matches are scheduled after negotiations for better pay and conditions stalled. “This player action is about safeguarding the integrity of the NRL and NRLW competitions and standing up for what’s right,” Mr Newton said during a media conference on Wednesday. “We need to come together and provide certainty for everyone.”
