An Australian sailor who was rescued by a tuna boat after being adrift at sea with his dog said he is “grateful” to be alive after setting foot on dry land for the first time in three months. After a visit from a doctor on board the Maria Delia Tuna, Timothy Lyndsay Shaddock, 54, and his dog, Bella, disembarked in Manzanillo, in Mexico, from the fishing boat that rescued them. “I’m feeling alright. I’m feeling a lot better than I was, I tell ya,” a heavily bearded and thin Mr Shaddock told reporters on the dock in the port city, which is about 210 miles (338 kilometres) west of Mexico City. #mexico #australia #castaway Subscribe to The Telegraph with our special offer: just £1 for 3 months.
