'Moscow isn't the mastermind' behind Israel-Hamas war | Defence in Depth

The most obvious and immediate way in which the actions in Israel impact the war in Ukraine is by diverting world attention from events a thousand kilometres to the north. However, it would be unwise to leap immediately to the conclusion that the US, for example, will have to choose between sending weapons to Ukraine or to Israel. Indeed, on October 11th, US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin dismissed concerns, saying “In terms of our ability to continue to support both the efforts in Ukraine and support the efforts in Israel as well -- absolutely, we can do both and we will do both”. However, it’s worth thinking about the timeline of military support.
