Footballer Luiz Diaz's Father Freed by Kidnappers in Colombia The father of Liverpool footballer Luis Díaz was released by members of a rebel group, almost two weeks after being kidnapped. Luis Manuel Díaz can be seen wearing a brown jacket and walking to car accompanied by a delegation of Colombian officials and UN personnel. According to the Colombian FA, Luis Manuel Díaz’s was was kidnapped in Columbia and released by guerrillas from the National Liberation Army (ELN).
