Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan handed out money to supporters gathered outside of the polling station where he cast his ballot in the presidential election runoff on Sunday. Erdogan, who has since been re-elected, handed out bank notes worth 200 liras (approx £8) each, and shook hands with supporters who were lined up outside the door. Questions have been raised about his actions. The move has become somewhat a tradition for Erdogan, who usually will also hand out toys to children in addition to money on special occasions, including the Muslim holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. #erdogan #cash #supporters #election #turkey Subscribe to The Telegraph with our special offer: just £1 for 3 months.
