Washington Today (12-7-23): House Intel Committee passes FISA Section 702 reauthorization

The House Intelligence Committee passes a reauthorization of the FISA Section 702 warrantless foreign surveillance program unanimously after adding reforms the Members say will prevent the FBI from targeting U.S. citizens. A final version of the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has been released with debate starting in the Senate. We will talk about what is in the bill, and what was left out, with E&E News reporter Andres Picon. President Biden's $60 billion aid request for Ukraine is still on hold over disagreements about what U.S. border security language should be added. We will hear Senate Democratic and Republican leaders and the White House about what happens next.
