Washington Today (11-22-23): Gov. Hochul: 'no indication' of terrorism in Canadian border explosion

A car rams into a U.S.- Canadian border crossing in New York and explodes, killing the two people in the car. Gov Kathy Hochul (D-NY) says, “Based on what we know at this moment,” she said, “there is no sign of terrorist activity in this crash.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan talk about the deal announced last night where Hamas will release some hostages and Israel will pause military operations in Gaza and release three times as many Palestinian prisoners. Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks to the virtual meeting of Group of 20 (G20) leaders' summit, calling the war in Ukraine a "a tragedy" and it was important to think about a way to end it. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says to the virtual meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, representing 50 countries, "None of us want to live in a world where bullies like Putin can invade their peaceful neighbor with impunity. We refuse to let the shape of global security be dictated by autocrats who rely on repression by force at home and coercion abroad." In Utah, Republican Celeste Maloy wins a special election for a seat in Congress..
