AI will eventually mean that people no longer need to work, Elon Musk has told Rishi Sunak. #AI #Musk #Sunak Mr Musk, the owner of X, was interviewed by the Prime Minister about the risks and benefits of AI on Thursday night in an event organised by Downing Street. It came after Mr Sunak’s two-day AI summit at Bletchley Park came to a close with 28 countries signing an accord about their use of the technology. Speaking at the Business Connect event, Mr Musk said: “You can have a job if you want to for personal satisfaction, AI can do everything. “I don’t know if that makes people comfortable or uncomfortable. It’s both good and bad. One of the challenges in future will be how do we find meaning in life.” On whether AI is a good or bad thing, Mr Musk replied: “AI is probably generally a good thing - there are a lot of jobs that are dangerous or tedious, and a computer will have no problem with that.” Elsewhere in the conversation, he predicted AI would be a good thing for education and become “the best tutor”, while also suggesting people will be able to befriend robots.
