Canadians for Nuclear Energy President Chris Keefer says Ontario's lack of coal reserves led the province to develop nuclear energy as a more cost-effective and sustainable option. "We ended up commissioning 22 reactors in just 22 years and accidentally decarbonized our electricity grid.," Dr Keefer told Sky News host Chris Kenny "So it's interesting that a power source can help grow an economy and accidentally decarbonize. "I think that shows you something about how cost-effective it can be."
