‘This is the problem’: The Voice won't be 'confined' to just Indigenous Australians

The Voice to Parliament’s representations would not be confined to just Indigenous Australians, says The Australian's Legal Affairs Contributor Chris Merritt. Mr Merritt claims an Indigenous Voice will affect and impact issues relating to every Australian, not just Aboriginal Australians. “Even matters that have a marginal impact on Indigenous people, it’s matters at large,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “Matters that relate to Indigenous people. “Defence treaties relate to Indigenous people because they’re Australian citizens … tax relates to all Australian citizens. “This is the problem.”
