After over 3 weeks of infighting and indecision, the House Republicans elected a new Speaker on the day of our Forum. What caused the roadblocks? Does the selection close this chapter of turmoil or does it open the floodgates for new tiers of partisanship and animosity? How will Democrats react to the new leadership and what does this mean for the current state of foreign policy, budget and other policy negotiations going forward?
